List of radio stations |
Radio Kiepenkerl is a private local radio broadcaster for the Coesfeld district . It is operated by Coesfelder Lokalradio Betriebsgesellschaft mbH & Co KG , a wholly owned subsidiary of Westfälischer Anzeiger Verlagsgesellschaft . The name of the radio is derived from the traditional Westphalian figure of the Kiepenkerl .
program
The local station sees itself as an infotainment station and primarily offers local news, consumer tips, event information, traffic news and weather forecasts. Radio Kiepenkerl broadcasts in AC format , mainly popular music from the last decades, but also current chart titles.
The operating company of the station is the Westfälische Werbegesellschaft für privat Rundfunk (WWR), a subsidiary of the Westfälischer Anzeiger , which in turn belongs to the publishing conglomerate of the Munich publisher Dirk Ippen . The local broadcasters Radio Lippewelle Hamm , Hellweg Radio (Soest) and Radio MK (Iserlohn) also belong to the network . This distinguishes Radio Kiepenkerl from the local stations in the districts of Borken, Steinfurt and the city of Münster, which are combined in the Münsterländische Medien Service (MMS). The MMS in turn is a subsidiary of the publishers Aschendorff (Münster) and Lensing (Dortmund).
