Like all local stations belonging to Westfunk , Radio KW also received a new look on July 19, 2008 in the form of a new station logo, which all Westfunk stations have gradually received since 2006, as well as some changes in the local program. This now consists of the following programs on weekdays:
- Radio KW in the morning from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., moderated by Marc Torke and Stefanie Hain.
- Radio KW in the afternoon from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., moderated by Celina von Schweinichen or Natascha Brücker.
On Saturdays there is four hours of local programming from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. with Radio KW on weekends, moderated by Marc Torke . On Sundays there is three hours of local programming with Radio KW dem Sport on Sundays from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. The sports program only runs on 35 Sundays a year.
The rest of the time, the supporting program is taken over by Radio NRW, as well as the news on the hour and an advertising block before that. Within the framework of the legal regulations, Radio KW broadcasts citizens' radio from Monday to Saturday from 8 p.m. to 9 p.m. and on Sundays and public holidays from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. Local news is available on weekdays from 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. and on Saturdays during the local broadcast.
