Wave west

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

WELLE WEST was the local radio for the Heinsberg district . It went on air on May 16, 1992 with a license from the Landesanstalt für Rundfunk (LfR), the forerunner of the LfM , and closed on May 15, 2007. Since August 1, 2006, the station has been taking over the supporting program 24 hours a day from Radio NRW in Oberhausen, because the organizer association and operating company (BG), which also operated Radio Aachen , separated due to discrepancies. All employees were fired. From then on, a separate program for the Heinsberg district was produced in Oberhausen for three hours a day ( Hallo Wach between 6 and 9 a.m. with Janine Breuer-Kolo, Ralph Günter, Lars Niermann), as well as several times a day in the local option at half-way local news for the District of Heinsberg with Lissy Ishag and Marc Weiss, to give the organizing community the opportunity to find a new partner. However, the search was unsuccessful. The reasons given were the difficult economic conditions in the district between Aachen and Mönchengladbach. Dieter Meurer, chairman of the organizing association and at the same time managing director of the Arbeiterwohlfahrt in Heinsberg, announced, however, that he would continue to look for a new operating company.
