Antenne Niederrhein is the local radio for the Kleve district in the northwest of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia . It got its license from the State Media Authority of North Rhine-Westphalia and went on air on August 29, 1992 . Editor-in-chief is Thomas "Tommi" Bollmann. The program is broadcast from the Funkhaus an der Stechbahn in Kleve.

Antenne Niederrhein broadcasts six hours of local programming every day.

The jacket program , the news on the hour and the national advertising are taken over by the jacket program provider Radio NRW .

The local program includes the programs “Am Morgen” (6 am–10 am) and “Am Afternoon” (4 pm–6 pm). On Saturdays there are local broadcasting hours from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. (“On the weekend” or “In the morning”), on Sundays from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. (“Forum Kreis Kleve”) and from 3 to 6 p.m. (“Sport vor Ort”).

In addition, Antenne Niederrhein broadcasts citizens' radio on its frequencies in accordance with the statutory provisions (8 pm–9pm).

Every half hour between 6 a.m. and 7 p.m., Antenne Niederrhein broadcasts weather and traffic news from the Euregio Rhine-Waal , North Rhine- Westphalia, Germany and the world.

Well-known moderators

Tommi (Thomas) Bollmann, who has been editor-in-chief since August 2002, has been a man at Antenne Niederrhein from the very beginning. Together with Katrin Düngel and Moritz Lapp, he moderates the program “Antenne Niederrhein am Morgen”. Wolfgang Notten and Oliver Drucks can be heard regularly in the news. Other well-known moderators include Volker Lübke, Christoph Kepser, Christoph Hendricks, Kevin Zimmer, Katharina te Uhle, Jan Düngel, Stephan Kaiser and Michael Stein. Estelle Wallé has been a volunteer since August 2018 .

Antenna Niederrhein covers the district of Kleve with its two analogue terrestrial frequencies. The northern circle is supplied with a transmission power of 1 kW from the Kleve radio station via the VHF frequency 98.0 MHz . The southern district is covered with 500 watts from the Geldern telecommunications tower via the VHF frequency 105.7 MHz. In the transmission area, Antenne Niederrhein can be received in the Unitymedia cable network on the frequency 97.9 MHz.
