Welle Niederrhein is the local radio for the city of Krefeld and the district of Viersen . It went on air on August 31, 1991 and got its license from the LfM . The editor-in-chief is Sven Ludwig. The program is broadcast from the Medienhaus on Rheinstrasse in Krefeld.

Program / content

Welle Niederrhein broadcasts its local program on weekdays from 6 am to 10 am ("Monique am Morgen" or "Der Raab am Morgen" - alternating weekly) and from 4 pm to 6 pm ("WELLE NIEDERRHEIN am afternoon"). At the weekend, local programs are broadcast from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. (“WELLE NIEDERRHEIN am weekend”). For the rest of the time, radio NRW will take over the program . The messages are sent on weekdays from 5:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. The world news on the hour, the music title and advertising block immediately before it, are taken over by radio NRW around the clock.
