Fono Forum (abbreviation FF , spelling FONO FORUM ) is a monthly magazine for classical music , jazz and hi-fi . Fono Forum focuses on reviews of new music recordings and essays from the classical and jazz scene as well as contributions on hi-fi technology.

history

The magazine was founded in 1956 by Walter Facius. It has been published since 1997 by Reiner H. Nitschke Verlags-GmbH in Euskirchen , which was founded in 1981 and has been part of the Funke media group since 1986 .

The editorial team is headed by the publisher Reiner H. Nitschke and the cultural journalist Arnt Cobbers; Otherwise, the content is contributed by freelancers. The hi-fi section is taken care of by the sister magazine Stereo .

The sold circulation fell from 20,729 copies in the first quarter of 1998 to 7,308 copies in the third quarter of 2014. It has not been reported to the IVW since then . According to the publisher's media data , 10,500 issues were sold per month in 2017, 328 of which were e-papers .

German Record Critics' Prize

1963 by the Fono Forum the award of the German Record Critics founded and serves over a period of ten years of time. It still exists today as an independent association.
