Modelleisenbahner (today's spelling ModellEisenBahner ) is a German magazine on the subject of railways and model railways that has been published monthly since 1952. The magazine has been published by the Bahn Verlag group since 2006 , with the editorial office in Fürstenfeldbruck . The editor-in-chief is Stefan Alkofer.

The magazine was published under the title Der Modelleisenbahner from 1952 in the transpress publishing house for transport, East Berlin , as a “specialist magazine for model railway construction and all friends of the railway” in the GDR . Since the middle of 1982 the magazine has only been called Modellisenbahner . From 1990 the magazine appeared in the T & M publishing company . In 1992 the magazine was merged with the Bahn-Welt of the Munich-based Geranova publishing house . This quickly led to a West German readership base. Via the Pietsch and Scholten publishing house (1996–1999), the magazine came to the Bahn publishing group.

The monthly magazine presents news in rail traffic as well as interesting rail routes, provides information on news from model railway manufacturers, presents model railway systems and shows tips and tricks.
