Georg Rose

Georg Rose (born October 23, 1960 in Münster ) is a German journalist .

Since 1997 he has been editor-in-chief of Radio Wuppertal , the private broadcaster for the city of Wuppertal . His professional career began in 1979 as a freelancer for the Münsterschen Zeitung .

He studied geography , politics and English in Freiburg im Breisgau and at the Westphalian Wilhelms University in Münster . At the same time, he received a journalistic training as a scholarship holder at the Institute for the Promotion of Young Journalists eV (ifp, Munich ). He also worked as a freelancer for the daily newspaper "Südkurier" ( Konstanz ) and Südwestfunk . From 1984 to 1988 he was a permanent freelancer at the WDR Landesstudio Münster (radio and TV).

In 1988 Georg Rose became program director of the local broadcaster RMB-Radio in Waiblingen . Further positions: program manager at the regional broadcaster Radio RT4 in Reutlingen , editor-in-chief at Antenne Thüringen in Weimar and at Radio Kiepenkerl in the Coesfeld district .

Awards

In 2002 Georg Rose received the Journalist Prize from the Association of Taxpayers in Germany for reporting on the GWG scandal and the " Kremendahl affair ". In the same year he received the NRW Radio Prize of the State Agency for Media in the category of local politics for his contributions to the "Kremendahl Affair".
