content

You are the rose from the Wörthersee consists of two stanzas and the refrain. In the version by Maria Andergast and Hans Lang you can hear string music in the background. At the beginning a verse is sung, followed by the refrain:

You are the rose, the rose from the Wörthersee! Holliolijohihi, holliolijohihi.
You are the most beautiful, the most beautiful from the beach café! Holliolijohihi, holliolijohihi.
And all the gentlemen at the tables, the fishermen fishing, they lose their peace.
And also the old Karawanken, which sway and they sway.
And it's only you to blame!
You, you, you, you are the rose, the rose from the Wörthersee! Holliolijohihi, holliolijohihi.

Then the second stanza follows and then the chorus is sung again.
