The Dubai class or A2 class was a class of container ships owned by the United Arab Shipping Company .

history

The construction of the ships was commissioned by the United Arab Shipping Company. The series of the ship type consisted of nine units, which were built in 1982 and 1983 at the Hyundai Heavy Industries shipyard in Ulsan.

The ship's propulsion system consisted of a six-cylinder two- stroke diesel engine of the type Burmeister & Wain 6L80GFCA with an output of around 13,500 kW.

It is remarkable that all ships remained with their original client for their entire service life. A few units have since been chartered out to other shipping companies and temporarily renamed. The entire series was sold by UASC for demolition in 2012.
