Duketios
Duketios († 440 BC ) was a leader of the Sicilian population in Sicily in the 5th century BC. Chr.
Duketios was from Mineo . When Greek settlers increasingly penetrated the interior of Sicily, he united around 465 BC. The Sikeler under his leadership and attacked Greek settlements in the interior. Around 460 BC He destroyed Morgantina in the process . When he around 450 BC BC attacked Akraga's subordinate territory, he was defeated and exiled to Corinth . 446 BC He returned and founded the city of Kaleakte on the north coast of Sicily with Sicilian and Corinthian settlers .
