Dugald McInnes (* 2. June 1877 in Ballachulish , Scotland ; † 11. September 1929 in Edmonton ) was a Scottish - Canadian marksman .

Dugald McInnes took part in the 1908 Olympic Games in London , where he competed in two disciplines. In the distance of more than 1000 yards with the free rifle he finished 16th with 87 points. With the army rifle, he was part of the Canadian team, which finished third over six different distances behind the United States and Great Britain. In addition to McInnes, William Smith , Bruce Williams , Charles Crowe , William Eastcott and Harry Kerr also won the bronze medal. With 413 points he was the fourth best shooter on the team.

McInnes spent the first half of his life in Scotland, the country of his birth, where he began shooting and was a member of the 1st Volunteer Battalion of the Highland Light Infantry . In 1904 he emigrated to Manitoba before settling in Edmonton in 1907 . There he joined the 19th Alberta Dragoons . During the First World War he served in Europe; first in the 9th and later in the 26th Battalion of the Royal Canadian Army Service Corps .
