Henry "Harry" Kerr (born August 31, 1856 in Ovingham , United Kingdom , † June 17, 1936 in Toronto ) was a Canadian sports marksman .
successes
Harry Kerr took part in the 1908 Olympic Games in London in part, in which he took in two disciplines. In the distance of 1000 yards with the free rifle, he finished sixth with 91 points. With the army rifle, he was part of the Canadian team, which finished third over six different distances behind the United States and Great Britain. In addition to Kerr, William Smith , Bruce Williams , Dugald McInnes , William Eastcott and Charles Crowe also won the bronze medal. With 384 points, he was the team's weakest shooter.
Kerr was Staff Sergeant of the Royal Canadian Army's 48th Highlanders of Canada at the time of the Games . During World War I , where he served with the Canadian Expeditionary Force's Eastern Ontario Regiment , he was temporarily promoted to lieutenant .
