Real guldiner

Guldiner or Guldengroschen was the silver equivalent of gold guilder at the end of the 15th and beginning of the 16th centuries. It was a forerunner of the thaler or Reichstaler .

A similar term is the ducaton , which was the silver equivalent of the golden ducat, which was coined in Italy and the Netherlands and also circulated in the German-speaking area in the 16th and 17th centuries .
