The Duluth Natives were an American ice hockey team from Duluth , Minnesota . The team played in the 1932/33 season in the Central Hockey League .
history
The franchise was founded in 1932 as the Central Hockey League's expansion team . In their debut season , the Duluth Natives were in competition with their city neighbor Duluth Hornets from the American Hockey Association , who had existed for six years and had a significantly larger number of fans. Since the Natives were unsuccessful with a win after eight defeats, the game was stopped after only nine games. In the 1933/34 season , the Hornets finally competed in the CHL themselves.
