Coordinates: 33 ° 18 ′ S , 117 ° 44 ′ E The Shire of Dumbleyung is a local government area (LGA) in the Australian state of Western Australia . The area is 2540 km² and has about 670 inhabitants (2016).
Dumbleyung is located in the western Australian "wheat belt" in the southeast of the state about 230 kilometers southeast of the capital Perth . The seat of the Shire Council is in the village of Dumbleyung, where about 200 residents live (2016).

The Dumbleyung Council has nine members elected by the residents of the four wards (three each from the North and Dumbleyung Ward, two from the South and one from the Kukerin Ward). The Council Chairman and Shire President are also recruited from among the Councilor.
