Dummeldorf is a district of Johanniskirchen in the Lower Bavarian district of Rottal-Inn .

The village is on State Road 2108 , directly south of Johanniskirchen and is structurally connected to it.

history

In its creation, Dummeldorf was closely linked to the history of Guteneck Castle . Perhaps it was initially a village built by Guteneck's owners. The independent Hofmark Justice of Dummeldorf is mentioned as early as 1446, at that time Wilhelm von Fraunhofen sold Guteneck Castle with the Hofmark Dummeldorf to Hans Zaunrieder. From then on, the history of Dummeldorf corresponds to that of Burg Guteneck. A second class patrimonial court was set up in Dummeldorf from 1821 to 1848 .

In 1522 there was a brick castle in Dummeldorf. Nothing more is proven of this.
