Dumraon is a city in the Indian state of Bihar .

The city is part of the Buxar district . Dumraon has the status of a Nagar Parishad . The city is divided into 26 wards . On the cut-off date of the 2011 census it had a total of 53,618 inhabitants, of which 28,498 were men and 25,120 were women. Hindus form the largest group of the city's population with a share of over 83%, followed by Muslims with over 15%. The literacy rate in 2011 was 71.59% and thus below the national average.

Dumraon Station is on the Patna – Mughalsarai section of the Delhi – Hoara main line.
