The Dunedin Range is a 37 km long and 3 to 6 km wide mountain range in the north of the East Antarctic Victoria Land . In the Admiralty Mountains , it extends 8 km east of the Lyttelton Range in a north-westerly direction.

The United States Geological Survey mapped the mountain range on the basis of own surveys and aerial photographs of the United States Navy in the years from 1960 to 1963. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names renamed it in 1964 by the New Zealand city of Dunedin , in close conjunction with research activities in Antarctica is and whose residents should be honored for their friendliness and helpfulness within the framework of the United States Antarctic Program .
