Dungeon of Doom

The Dungeon of Doom was a wrestling group that existed in the Wrestling Promotion World Championship Wrestling in the mid-1990s . In the scripted plot it was shown that the aim of the dungeon was the "ending of the Hulkamania ", the hit series and the personality cult around Hulk Hogan . Allies of the dungeon were briefly the group of the Four Horsemen ( The Alliance To End The Hulkamania ). The dungeon was dissolved in 1996 after a series of defeats against Hulk Hogan and the newly created group nWo .

The dungeon

What was striking about this group was that it consisted of the biggest and heaviest wrestlers, as well as those with the most monstrous gimmicks that could be found in wrestling at that time. All members were portrayed as "absolutely invincible" in which they dealt with rows and rows of opponents in the shortest possible time before Hogan then defeated them. The group's best-known appearance took place at the major television event Uncensored in 1996 . In the so-called "Doomsday Match", a fight in four ring cages placed on top of one another, Hulk Hogan and his team partner Randy Savage met Ric Flair , Arn Anderson , Meng, Barbarian, Lex Luger, Kevin Sullivan, Ze Gangsta , and The Ultimate Solution. Shortly afterwards, the nWo was launched as a new group and the dungeon was soon obsolete.
