Durbek Amanov

Durbek Amanov (born October 9, 1965 in Tashkent ) is an Uzbek medic and diplomat . From 2013 to 2017 he was Uzbek Ambassador to Germany.

Life

Education

Amanov initially studied at the State Medical Institute in Tashkent from 1991 to 1993 and received a doctorate in medicine. From 1993 to 1995 he completed a degree in international relations at the University of World Economy and Diplomacy in Tashkent and then also a degree in economic diplomacy in New Delhi .

Diplomatic career

Amanov was Second Secretary at the Uzbek Embassy in Washington from 1998 to 2000 and Deputy Ambassador to Vienna from 2004 to 2007 . After he was Consul General in New York from 2010 to 2013 , he became Uzbek Ambassador to Germany from 2013 to 2017.

Private

Amanov is married and has three children.
