Durgol ( spelling : durgol ) is a Swiss brand for decalcifying agents . Durgol is manufactured in Dällikon by Düring AG . The name Durgol is made up of the family name “Düring” and the ending “-ol” for industrially manufactured products, which was popular in the 1950s.

history

The Durgol brand has existed since 1951. A third of the products are exported, for example to Germany, Austria, Israel and the USA. In Germany, sales have been carried out by Marabu Markenvertrieb since 2014.

Product range

The Durgol product range includes ten products for cleaning bathrooms, kitchens, coffee machines and steamers as well as a water softener for washing machines. Eight million bottles are filled annually. Durgol has a market share of 30% in the decalcifying agent segment in Switzerland.

Trivia

In 2014, the municipal authorities in Dällikon announced in an April Fool's joke that the municipality of Dällikon wanted to rename itself Durgol in honor of the decalcifying agent that originated here.
