Dustin Wells (born May 31, 1983 in Kiama ) is an Australian football player .

Career

Wells made his debut in the National Soccer League in 2001 for the Wollongong City Wolves . Until the league was closed in 2004, Wells played 39 games for the Wolves and then played for the Belconnen Blue Devils in the NSW Premier League .

In November 2006 he signed a short-term contract with the A-League club New Zealand Knights . After an impressive debut in the A-League, which was rewarded with the nomination for Team of the Week, he was unable to confirm this performance in the following appearances. At the end of December, his contract expired and Wells initially returned to the Wollongong Wolves, who now competed in the New South Wales Premier League . Since 2008 he has been back in the Belconnen Blue Devils (now in the ACT Premier League ).

National team

Wells took in 2003 with the Australian U-20 team at the World Youth Championship in the United Arab Emirates in part. When he reached the round of 16, he was part of the regular team in three of four games, including the surprising 3-2 win in the preliminary round over eventual world champions Brazil. In the round of 16, the hosts failed with 0: 1.
