Dzierzynsky syndrome
The Dzierzynsky syndrome , latin dystrophia periostalis hyperplastica familiaris , is a familial occurring malformation syndrome with the characteristics of premature synostosis of cranial sutures with deformation of the skull, facial abnormalities, Brachyphalangie and funnel chest .
In addition, there is thickening of the skull bones and the periosteum with changes in the adjacent soft tissues, mainly on the fingers , the collarbones and the sternum .
The term Dzierzynsky-Klippel-Feldstein syndrome is sometimes used synonymously .
The name refers to the first author Wladislaw Dzierzynsky (1881-1942) Władysław Dzierżyński Charkow of the first description from 1913.
