Hyperostosis

As hyperostosis (Syn. Bone hypertrophy or bone hyperplasia ) refers to an abnormal proliferation of the bone , both inside ( endosteal hyperostosis ) and externally ( exostosis , cortical hyperostosis ) may be directed. In the narrower sense, hyperostoses are bone diseases with an increase in bone density , i.e. the ratio of bone mass and volume.
