Celina Jade.

Celina Jade ( 盧靖 姍 , LúJìngshān ; born June 10, 1985 in Hong Kong ) is a Chinese- American actress , model and singer .

Life

Jade was born in Hong Kong as the daughter of the American kungfu star Roy Horan and a Chinese mother.

Career

Jade starred in her first film, Legendary Assassin , in 2008 . She has also appeared on Love Connected and All's Well Ends Well , on TV shows such as Dolce Vita , Jade Solid Gold, and on regular appearances on TV channels in China including CCTV , Hunan TV and CETV . She then gained a foothold with her first role in a US film, The Man with the Iron Fists (2012), Robert Diggs ' first film director. That same year, she voiced a character in the Square Enix game Sleeping Dogs . She also began filming the Internet series Wish Upon a Star , starring alongside Asian superstar Peter Ho . Time it coincided with her first role in the series of The CW called Arrow , where the recurring role of Shado played. She appeared in 18 episodes of the first two seasons; in the third season she appeared in two episodes as Shado's twin sister Mei.

Career as a singer

At the age of 14, Jade won an Asian competition that led to a contract with Japanese producer Tetsuya Komuro . Together they released two EPs , Good News Bad News and Kwong Ying Zi Gan . In July 2000 she appeared alongside Namie Amuro at the G8 summit in Okinawa in front of world politicians. At the age of 15, she had her first No. 1 hit in Taiwan with the song "Kwong Ying Zi Gan" . Since then she has appeared in many ad campaigns for Marks & Spencer, Cathay Pacific, Motorola and Ponds around the world.

In 2007 Jade signed a contract with the music mogul Paco Wong (EMI). She also sang the theme song for Legendary Assassin, "Ceng Jing Xin Teng," which was performed live on TV and radio stations across Asia. In 2009 she left Golden Typhoon (EMI) and signed with Terry McBride, CEO of the Nettwerk Music Group. At the end of 2012, Jade self-distributed her first self-written album on the Internet.
