The Taiwanese company E-TEN (also spelled E-Ten or Eten ) is a manufacturer of handhelds ( PDAs , cell phones ) and DAB receivers. E-Ten was founded in Taiwan in 1985 and has been publicly listed since 2000 ( TAIEX 2432). E-Ten implemented the first Chinese language input system for DOS . The developments from E-Ten were partly used in the Big5 standard.

In 1997, E-Ten began manufacturing PDAs and in 2006 switched to the production of smartphones based on Windows Mobile called glofiish . In 2007 the glofiish X800 with Windows Mobile 6 and HSDPA won a Best Choice Award at Computex in Asia. The device was also presented at CeBIT in Europe.

At the beginning of 2008, E-ten was taken over by ACER , neither E-Ten nor Glofiish will continue to be used by Acer as a brand.
