EE Knight

EE Knight (born March 7, 1965 in La Crosse, Wisconsin ) is the stage name of an American fantasy and science fiction author. He became known in German-speaking countries primarily through his works in the Vampire Earth series, with which he was also very successful in the USA and Great Britain.

Life

EE Knight was born on March 7, 1965 in La Crosse, Wisconsin, and grew up in Stillwater, Minnesota . For as long as he can remember, EE Knight has been fascinated by words and stories. At the age of around 20 he wrote his first novel, a fan-fiction work based on John Russell Fearn's The Creature From the Black Lagoon .

He studied history and political science at Northern Illinois University before devoting himself entirely to writing science fiction and fantasy novels. EE Knight currently resides in Oak Park, Illinois , a suburb of Chicago with his wife and two children .

In 2004, his novel Way of the Wolf won the Compton Crook Award for best debut novel .
