EA Salt Lake is a computer and video game developer and a subsidiary of Electronic Arts (EA). Its headquarters are in Salt Lake City , Utah .
history
Headgate Studios was founded by Vance Cook in 1992 . The first product was a scientific calculator for Windows . Between 1996 and 1999, Headgate Studios developed golf games for Sierra Entertainment . In April 1996, Headgate was bought by Sierra. On February 22, 1999, Sierra announced a major reorganization and sold the rights to Headgate back to Cook.
In 2000, Headgate began developing the Tiger Woods PGA Tour video game series for Electronic Arts, among other things . On December 1, 2006, Headgate was acquired by Electronic Arts and renamed EA Salt Lake. The focus was placed on the development of games for the Nintendo Wii .
On 21 July 2010, the headquarters was Bountiful ( Utah ) to Salt Lake City laid.
