EHC Team Vienna
The EHC Team Vienna was an Austrian ice hockey team from Vienna , which was founded in 2007 and played in the Austrian National League.
The team emerged from a collaboration between the teams Vienna Capitals , Wiener EV and three other junior clubs. It is hoped that the partial amalgamation of the youth teams from the U17 age group will provide more targeted support for young talent.
In the 2008/09 season , the Vienna team did not take part in the National League. Attempts were made to take action against a stricter farm team regulation by not depositing the deposit for participation in the National League (together with the second team from EC Red Bull Salzburg ). However, the Salzburgers gave in just before the entry deadline and deposited the deposit. As a result, the Viennese had officially missed the entry deadline and could therefore not take part in the league.
