The Eagle Lake is a 2 km long lake in the Chugach Mountains in Alaska .
It is located immediately north of the insignificantly smaller Symphony Lake in Chugach State Park on the western flank of the Polar Bear Peaks , 27 km east of Anchorage .
The outflow from Eagle and Symphony Lake is the South Fork of the Eagle River , which flows into the Knik Arm of the Cook Inlet .
The area is accessible to tourists through several hiking trails in the area.
The neighboring lakes, Eagle Lake and Symphony Lake, are known for their different water colors. This arises because the lakes draw their water from different sources.
