The Eagle Mountain is a mountain in the US state of Minnesota . With a height of 701 meters, it is the highest point in the state. It is located in the northeast of the state in Cook County .
Eagle Mountain is part of the Misquah Hills in the Canadian Shield . It is located in the nature reserves of the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness and the Superior National Forest and can be reached with an altitude difference of 168 meters via a 5.6 kilometers long, designated hiking trail.
The lowest point in Minnesota, 185 meters high, Lake Upper , is only 15 miles from Eagle Mountain.
