Earl of Dartmouth
Earl of Dartmouth is a hereditary British title in the Peerage of Great Britain .
Award
The title was created on September 5, 1711 for William Legge, 2nd Baron Dartmouth . Together with the Earldom he was given the subordinate title Viscount Lewisham , in the County of Kent . As early as October 25, 1691, he had inherited the title Baron Dartmouth , of Dartmouth in the County of Devon , created on December 2, 1682 in the Peerage of England from his father .
Today's title holder is his descendant William Legge as the 10th Earl.
