The third piece Like Gold and Faceted basically only contains a single, constantly repeated change of two chords . The instrumentation consists mainly of electric guitar and electric bass ; only Like Gold and Faceted also contains a sound track with percussion . The title of the play Seven Angels refers to the book of Revelation to John .

reception

The album is seen as a milestone in Drone Doom music. It influenced bands like Sunn O))) , Boris and Teeth of Lions Rule the Divine .

In the Allmusic Guide, which rates the album with four and a half stars out of five, Earth 2's music is described as “permeated with threat and distortion”. The website everything2.com sees Earth 2 as the "incarnation of the drone" and only describes the album Altar as equivalent.
