history
The East 15 Acting School was founded in 1961 by Margaret Walker. Since September 1, 2000, the school has also merged with the University of Essex , through which all diplomas have been awarded since then. East 15 is named after the postal district in which it was originally located (East 15 or E 15). The current president of the school is the director and writer Leon Rubin.
Initially, East 15 was a pure drama school whose approach is still based on the acting theories of Stanislavski . In addition to bachelor's and master's degrees in acting, the school now also offers other subjects such as theater directing and stage fighting.
