easybank is a direct bank brand of BAWAG PSK Until the merger with its parent company in March 2020, easybank AG was an independent Austrian direct bank based in Vienna .

The bank was founded in 1996 and entered the market in January 1997. It was a wholly owned subsidiary of BAWAG PSK With over 1.3 million customer accounts, easybank was Austria's largest and most profitable digital bank. It offers an extensive range of products, from checking accounts and savings products to credit cards, consumer and housing loans to car leasing and investment products.

The bank received several awards in 2017, including the “Recommender Award” from the Austrian Financial Marketing Association (FMVÖ). The broker certified easybank as “Austria's Best Direct Bank 2017”, and according to the Austrian Society for Consumer Studies (ÖGVS) it is the number 1 direct bank.

In autumn 2017, easybank took over the Commercial Issuing segment (issuing credit and prepaid cards) under the name PayLife in Austria, as well as issuing support for Austrian banks from SIX with 1.7 million credit cards and 150 employees.

Since December 2018, easybank has been offering online installment loans in Germany under the “Qlick” brand. Behind “Qlick” is the Südwestbank , which like easybank is 100% owned by BAWAG PSK.

In March 2020, the bank was deleted and incorporated into the parent company as a brand. For this reason, the BIC code of BAWAG PSK, BAWAATWW has been in effect since March 27, 2020 .
