Eberhard Finke

Eberhard Finke (born May 19, 1920 in Bremen ; † July 29, 2016 ) was a German cellist .

Finke studied at the Berlin Music Academy and the Salzburg Mozarteum, among others with Ludwig Hoelscher and Enrico Mainardi . He was a founding member of The 12 Cellists of the Berlin Philharmonic and from 1950 to 1985 their first solo cellist. Since 1969 he was a professor at the Berlin University of the Arts .
