Eberhard Friedrich Peter Paul Scharenberg (born June 1, 1900 , † July 12, 1985 ) was a German military person.

Eberhard Scharenberg was born on June 1, 1900 as the son of the royal Prussian chief forester Friedrich Karl August Scharenberg (1866-1914). In his military career, Scharenberg was a captain (April 1, 1934), commander of the observation department 32 (January 3, 1939) in Belgard and a colonel (July 1, 1942). Until October 1, 1942, Scharenberg was commander of the 171 artillery regiment and was then transferred to the artillery school. From October 1944 to December 12, 1944, Eberhard Scharenberg was commander of the 21st Infantry Division (Wehrmacht) .

His family had to leave Belgard in 1945 and met again in Winsen (Luhe) , where he was transported as a wounded man in June 1945. After difficult transition years, he lived in Garstedt near Winsen (an der Luhe) in 1954 , where he worked as a sales representative. Towards the end of the 1950s he settled in Döhle , where he devoted himself to local history.

Eberhard Scharenberg was the grandson of Mirow's chief forest inspector Friedrich Scharenberg (1821–1901).
