Eberhard Veit
Eberhard A. Veit (born April 28, 1962 in Göppingen ) is a German manager and former CEO of Festo AG. He is a partner in 4.0-veIT GmbH, one of the 10 largest and most influential supervisory board offices in Germany.
Life
After studying mechanical engineering at the University of Stuttgart , he began his professional career at Gebr. Märklin & Cie. GmbH and from 1986 was responsible for the development of mechatronic products. As head of research and development, he was subsequently involved in the success of the local consumer line at Alfred Kärcher GmbH & Co. KG . In 1997, Veit moved to Festo AG as Board Member for Product and Technology Management.
In 2000 Veit received his doctorate from the Technical University of Munich with the dissertation Robot vacuum cleaners for the household: Development of a functional model with control algorithm . He received the German Innovation Award for his work.
In 2003 he became spokesman for the management board of Festo AG and in 2008, in addition to his responsibility for product and technology management, its chairman. He held this position until December 2015. Since 2016 he has been running his own company 4.0 VeIT and has been involved in nine supervisory board mandates. This makes his office one of the ten most influential German supervisory bodies. In addition, from April 2019 he is a partner in Robert Bosch Industrietreuhand KG, which holds 93% of the voting rights in Robert Bosch GmbH.
Eberhard Veit is married, lives in Göppingen and has a son.
