Ebrima Janko Sanyang

Ebrima Janko Solo Sanyang is a politician in the West African state of Gambia .

In the 1997 parliamentary elections , Sanyang stood as a member of the National Convention Party (NCP) as a candidate for the Alliance for Patriotic Reorientation and Construction (APRC) in the constituency of Foni Bintang and, in the absence of opposing candidates, became the constituency's representative in parliament. Sanyang also represented the constituency in the following parliamentary elections in 2002 . In the 2007 elections he was defeated by his non-party rival Ebrima Jammeh.

Sanyang was also used as a commissioner (today's designation governor) of the Western Division .

After the death of Sheriff Dibba (1937–2008), Sanyang leads the NCP as executive secretary general.
