Echeveria bella is a species of the genus Echeveria ( Echeveria ) in the family of thick-leaf plants (Crassulaceae).
description
Echeveria bella forms strongly branched plants, the shoots of which develop lengths of up to 5 centimeters. The leaf rosettes are 3 to 4 centimeters in diameter. The linearly lanceolate and pointed leaves are 2.8 inches long and 0.5 inches wide. They are colored green.
The inflorescence consists of grapes with 10 to 12 individual flowers each and is up to 25 centimeters long. The flower stalk is up to 7 millimeters long. The widely spread to slightly ascending sepals are linearly shaped and about 6 millimeters long. The blunt 5-edged corolla is about 10 millimeters long and 6 millimeters in diameter. It is colored coral red at the bottom and turns yellow towards the tip.
The number of chromosomes is 2n = 32.
Distribution and systematics
Echeveria bella is common in Mexico in the state of Chiapas .
It was first described in 1941 by Edward Johnston Alexander .
A distinction is made between two forms:
