Eckart Lohse

Eckart Lohse (born March 10, 1963 in Göttingen ) is a German historian , journalist and publicist .

Life

Lohse grew up in Frankfurt am Main, Dortmund and Bonn. After graduating from high school, he did military service in the armed forces and then studied history, political science and Romance philology at the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Bonn . With Hans-Peter Schwarz he became Dr. phil. PhD; he wrote his dissertation in Paris and Munich.

He first went to Deutschlandfunk and then as a volunteer at the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung . He has been an editor in the FAZ's political newsroom since 1994, stations have taken him to Bonn and Berlin. In 2003/04 he was the Berlin office manager of the Frankfurter Allgemeine Sonntagszeitung . From 2004 to 2008 he was a board member of the Federal Press Conference .

Together with Markus Wehner , he wrote a biography about the German politician Karl-Theodor zu Guttenberg .

Lohse is married and has two children.
