Ed Roth
Ed "Big Daddy" Roth (born March 4, 1932 in Los Angeles , California - † April 4, 2001 ) was an American artist, car customizer and cartoonist.
His most famous creation on paper is the grotesque rodent Rat Fink , which Roth designed just as he imagined Mickey Mouse's father . In his activity as a customizer , "Big Daddy" was one of the key figures in the Kustom Kulture and hot rodding movement in California in the 1960s . Thanks to him, the hot rodding backyard scene, which is mainly oriented towards increasing performance, has become an art form in which aesthetic and artistic aspects play an equally important role. In addition, Roth was a pioneer in the field of fiberglass - bodies.
