The Edda Hill is a 302 m high and prominent hill on South Georgia in the South Atlantic . It rises west of Horseshoe Bay and northeast of Lake Aviemore on the Barff Peninsula .
The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named it in 2014 after the whaler Edda , which was one of the first ships to operate from Godthul Bay .
