Klus Ed seine is a hermit hermitage with a pilgrimage chapel, which is located near Borgholz between Beverungen and Borgentreich in the Höxter district . At the current location of the Klus was the village of Ednahm. Processions and pilgrimages take place from Borgholz to the Klus .

The place of Edward

The oldest known documented mentions of the place come from the Corveyer traditions (Latin: traditiones Corbeienses) around 1003 to 1005 and the vita of the Paderborn bishop Meinwerk (transfers of ownership between 1015 and 1036).

It was destroyed in 1447 by Hussite mercenaries who were involved in the Soest feud . After that, hermits , hermits , lived in the place. From 1655 to 1859 there were no hermits on Eddes. The dilapidated village church was replaced by a chapel, which was renovated in 1856. From 1859 to 1915 (the one buried here) "Kluspater", brother Ubaldus Bornemann, looked after the Klus; other hermits came after him; B. Brother Petrus, + 1954. Sr. Benedikta lived there until the end of 2012, who had to leave the place for health reasons. The Capuchin Fr. Joachim lived there from 2013 to 2016, and Sr. Mechthild since December 2016.
