Eddy Flecijn

Eddy Flecijn (born October 6, 1962 , Hamme , Belgium ) is a Belgian composer , accordionist and bandoneonist .

Life

Flecijn studied accordion, harmony and counterpoint at the Royal Conservatory of Antwerp . He then continued his studies at the Lemmensinstitut , where he graduated with a master's degree in composition with Willem Kersters and Luc Van Hove.

He took part in international master classes and gave concerts in European countries. After playing in several ensembles, he worked as an accordionist and bandoneonist in the sextet Orquesta Atipica and in the Trio Vision-On .

Today he works as a music teacher at music schools in St. Niklaas, Hamme and Dendermonde and works as a guest professor at the Lemmensinstitut in Leuven. In addition to transcriptions, he has composed for orchestra, accordion, piano and chamber music.
