Edelmiro Arnauda , also known by the nickname Picao , is a former Cuban soccer coach and player.

Life

Edelmiro Araujo spent his active career as a professional player at Puebla FC , Necaxa and Club América . He then spent a few years in the amateur-based Liga Española de Fútbol .

In the early 1970s, Edelmiro Arnauda was a trainer for América's branch team Coapa for about three to four years.

In the early 1980s he coached various teams in the Mexican Primera División . First he helped CF Oaxtepec to the second division championship in the 1981/82 season , which made it possible to move up to the top division. There Arnauda led the team until he was replaced by Carlos Lara in early February 1983. Goalkeeper at Oaxtepec was the Argentinean Ricardo La Volpe .

A few months later, "Picao" Arnauda signed a contract with Atlético Morelia , which he managed for a year and a half until the end of 1984. In the second half of the 1986/87 season he led Club Atlante .
