Heraclio Eder Sánchez Terán (born May 21, 1986 in Tlalnepantla , Mexico ) is a Mexican athlete who took third place in the 20-kilometer walk at the 2009 World Championships .

Eder Sánchez finished fourth in the 10,000-meter walk at the 2004 Junior World Championships in Grosseto, just three and a half seconds behind the winner. At the 2004 Walker World Cup, Sánchez took second place in the junior ranking. In 2005 he competed internationally for the first time in the adult class. At the 2005 World Championships in Helsinki he finished eighth on the 20-kilometer route, one minute behind third place in the medal, but was the best-placed Mexican. In 2006, Eder Sánchez won the Mexican Championships for the first time. At the Central American and Caribbean Championships in 2006, he won the silver medal behind the Colombian Luis Fernando López . In 2007, at the 2007 World Championships in Osaka , Sánchez was one minute behind the medal positions, just like two years earlier, but this time he finished fourth. In 2008, Sánchez improved his personal best at the Walker World Cup in Cheboksary to 1:18:34 hours and finished third. At the Olympic Games in 2008 he was more than three minutes behind this best time and finally finished 15th. A year later at the 2009 World Championships he won the bronze medal over 20 kilometers in 1:19:22 hours.

At a height of 1.76 meters, his competition weight is 67 kg.
