Edgar Dutka (* 1941 ) is a Czech prose - writer .

Life

After his mother was arrested for subversive activity, he was sent to a children's home shortly after the Communists came to power . The narrative mosaic Waisenhausgasse 5 , which Dutka, like other texts, was only able to publish after the end of the communist regime, is based on the experiences of these years . In 2004, the novel Fräulein, the dog catcher is coming, was awarded the Czech State Prize for Literature . Since 1974 Dutka has worked as a screenwriter, director and dramaturge for cartoons. He lives in Prague.
