Czech State Prize for Literature

The Czech State Prize for Literature ( Státní cena za literaturu ) is awarded annually by the Ministry of Culture of the Czech Republic for a newly published work of Czech literature or for the previous work of an author. It was set up in 1995 at the instigation of Minister of Culture Pavel Tigrid . The prize is endowed with 300,000 crowns .
